I’m a doctoral researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, working at the LESA research center on sensor systems and intelligent buildings.
I like building things and figuring out how they work: sensor systems, useful little tools, AI workflows, and systems for organizing everyday life. This is a place to share those experiments alongside photography, design, and whatever else catches my interest.
Currently based in Troy, NY.
What I’m working on
I’m currently working on multi-sensor occupancy sensing in smart buildings — privacy-preserving, sensor-agnostic, and designed for real-world deployment.
Lately, a lot of my work happens through conversations with AI agents. I use Codex to develop experiments, try different approaches, and have several tasks moving at once. VS Code used to be where I spent most of my time. These days, I’m more often explaining an idea and figuring out what to try next.
I share what I’m learning in the blog — practical experiences with research, engineering, and AI agents, along with things I enjoy making.
