I’m a PhD student in Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at RPI, based in the LESA research center. My work focuses on making buildings smarter by using sensors and machine learning to understand where people are in a room, what they are doing, and what kind of lighting they might need.
Before that, I studied Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Jadavpur University in Kolkata, where I began working on sensor design, robotics, and embedded systems.
I like building things end-to-end, from hardware design and prototypes to data pipelines, processing, and user-facing tools. I also care a lot about technical documentation and process standardization. I’m the kind of person who enjoys organizing files and designing systems to run my life.
Outside the lab, I like watching films, taking photos, experimenting with design tools, and trying new AI tools and models to see what works, what doesn’t, and how I can share what I learn with friends.
